Disney Magic

On Oct 26 and 27 we headed down to the OC for a family get together at Disneyland! But it wasn't just any get together, it was what dreams are made of! My mom planned the whole thing. We arrived on Tuesday to all check into our rooms at the Grand California Resort. My parents, uncle Ricky, my bro and his fam and of course Eric, Will and myself!
The room was perfect! It was beautiful! Two queens, balcony and even a pack n play for the kid! Disney thinks of everything! Our view was great! You could see over California Adventure, beautiful. Then we headed to Disneyland where my parents decide to get all of us season passes! We hung around Disneyland for a couple of hours then back to the hotel to get dressed up for trick or treating at Disneyland. It's so cool! They give you a Halloween bag and you literally go to different stands in the park and get to trick or treat. Along with the decorations and the cool Disney effects it was definitely a great pre Halloween! We were also excited because eric's mama came to the hotel and watched Will while we did our thing that night.
The next morning we headed to goofy's kitchen! I love this restaurant! The people are friendly, the buffet is awesome and the looks on the lil one's faces when they see their favorite Disney character is priceless! I can't wait til Will gets that look! After breakfast we headed to Disneyland! It was Will's first trip! So of course we had to get him his own Mickey ears! They were a tad bit too big to say the least, but he still looked cute in them! We didn't take him on any rides but he got to be visually stimulated by everything else! His eyes were WIDE open. Just taking in the Disney magic! What an awesome staycation! Thank you mom and dad, it was a trip to remember!

Baby Will's first hockey game!

On october 17 we got the opportunity to hit up a Ducks hockey game with the Betencourts! They are high rollers and have season tickets! We got to be their guests! We started off at Shannon's favorite mexican food resturant, Avilas, and boy was it good! Then off to the Ducks game! We got Will all bundled up in 2 layers of clothes and 2 layers of blankets and headed inside. Along with it being Will's first hockey game it was my first Ducks game. We had a blast. Watching the hits, the crashes and the goals is so entertaining. Shannon offered to hold Will the whole time and boy did I take her up on it! It's amazing how 7 pounds can get to be so heavy after a while! Will stayed nice and toasty! He slept through practically the whole game! Even though he didn't watch it I'm sure he grow up to be a big fan of hockey! Turns out he's a good luck charm because the Ducks won! What a great night we had! Anytime you have extra tickets, let us know!

Being home

Two days after having baby Will Eric and I were able to bring him home. With a little help from the Davidsons we able to make it in one trip! We showed Will his new baseball decorated bedroom, his bathroom and of course everywhere else I'm sure he'll be terrorizing in no time! Thankfully I'm able to be off work for a few months and Will is just loving it. He gets so much love from not only me and Eric but we are blessed with such great family and friends who couldn't wait to come love and hug the little guy! Although I'm exhausted from the long days and some sleepless nights there is no greater joy then being able to be at home and nourish your Child's every need. I'm so glad I get to do this and can't wait to experience his milestones!

THE BIRTH

September 15, 2010 was a pretty big day for us, I popped out our first kid, William Robert!

It all started at 10:30am September 15. I was on my way to the grocery store when I stared feeling a little different then usual. I headed to my parents house to see what my mommy thought. She was all excited and said "it sounds like you're going into preterm labor, this kid will be here in like 16 hours!" So I headed for my parents bed to hangout a while. At about noon my contractions we a little more intense so I called the hospital and they said the same, see you in about 16 hours. So I figured lie in bed, have a sandwich, and enjoy the rest of my child free life. My best friend Jenni and her mom Linda came over to keep me company while waiting the long 16 hours! At about 12:30 my pain really started to increase. We started tracking contractions at about 1 every 2.5 minutes for like 20 seconds. 15 mins later 1 every 2 mins for about 30 seconds. 15 mins later 1 every 1.5 minutes for about 45 seconds. This baby was not waiting 16 hours to come out! We bolted for the hospital as I texted to let family and friends know we are on our _way! Got to the hospital and was 5 centimeters dilated! The nurse started me on an IV to to prep me for the epidural, which would take 30 mins to drip. The IV didn't even get half way down and I let out "the scream". The nurse checked me again and I was 9 centimeters. I look at her and ask her "can I please get my epidural?" She unfortunately responds with "oh honey you can't get an epidural." WTF! You've got to be kidding me! I gotta push this kid out with no pain medicine! OMG! I was so scared, but I had no choice. Not minutes later I'm yelling "I've got to push!" Well apparently the Dr hadn't arrived yet because I was progressing too fast so they told me I wasn't aloud to push. Really!! That is not possible, when the baby wants to come, there is no stopping the little one. The Dr finally arrives (mind you not my Dr or the Dr on call but another Dr that was supposed to be on another case but got rushed over to me) and in 23 mins of pushing my little William Robert was born on September 15, 2010 at 3:13 pm. Weighing in at 6 lbs 2 oz and 19 inches long. He was just perfect! I never thought I could be so happy!!

Thank you so much to my parents, Chelsie, Jenni, Linda and of course my wonderful husband Eric for everything you guys did. I had so much support, encouragement and cheering in the delivery room I felt like I was playing basketball again! Everything you guys did made for the perfect delivery! Thank you so much!

Hello family and friends
